Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Finishing Supervisor/Engineer to oversee the final stages of construction across our projects in Mumbai’s Eastern region (Santacruz, Vile Parle). With over 15 years of experience from a developer, contractor, or interior firm background, you will ensure all finishing trades are executed to the highest standards of quality and design. Your leadership will be crucial in coordinating multiple teams, maintaining strict timelines, and delivering a flawless product for client handover.
Your core responsibilities will include:
• Direct supervision and quality control of all finishing works, including painting, flooring, ceilings, carpentry, joinery, aluminum, glass, and interior fit-outs.
• Ensuring all activities strictly adhere to project specifications, quality benchmarks, and scheduled timelines.
• Coordinating daily with architects, main contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve on-site challenges.
• Maintaining comprehensive snag lists and driving their timely resolution prior to project completion.
• Preparing and submitting regular progress reports, quality audits, and site documentation.
• Overseeing material approvals, workmanship checks, and compliance with safety standards on-site.
• Managing the final handover process to ensure a smooth, defect-free transition to clients or occupants.
Skill Requirement
the ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with extensive hands-on experience in high-quality finishing, exceptional site management capabilities, and a proven ability to lead teams and manage stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment.
We require:
• Minimum of 15 years of direct experience in finishing works within real estate development, contracting, or high-end interior fit-out projects.
• Proven expertise in on-site coordination, quality control, and supervision of finishing trades.
• Experience with large-scale residential, commercial, or hospitality projects is highly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of finishing materials, methodologies, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to preempt issues and keep projects on track.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and team leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively (75%) to various project sites across Mumbai.
