Job Overview

- Compensation: $15.00 – $22.00 per hour
- Primary Focus: Medical billing, data entry, payment posting, and medical records management
Primary Responsibilities
- Claim Processing: Assist clients with processing insurance claims through private networks, Medicaid, and Medicare.
- Data Management: Input billing and payment data into the tracking systems accurately and without errors.
- Client & Provider Collaboration: Coordinate directly with hospitals and doctor’s offices to secure accurate charge details and billing notes.
- Patient Advocacy: Help patients navigate the insurance landscape while compiling necessary signatures and forms.
- Administrative Support: Review insurance documentation, answer phone inquiries, screen incoming calls, and take detailed messages.
Eligibility Criteria
Required Qualifications & Skills
To be successful in this administrative environment, candidates must demonstrate an advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail are foundational to ensuring error-free entry into the accounting platform.
Because a significant portion of the workday is spent speaking with insurance networks, healthcare providers, and patients, strong communication and customer service skills are mandatory. Candidates must also demonstrate an ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding sensitive patient files.
Preferred Experience
While we are happy to provide localized training on our software suite, previous experience in medical coding, medical billing, or healthcare data entry is highly desired. Familiarity with the submission pipelines for public health programs like Medicare and Medicaid will greatly accelerate your onboarding process.
