Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Product Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative products for our customers. In this role, you will take ownership of the entire product lifecycle—from understanding customer specifications and conceptualizing designs to creating detailed technical drawings and supporting production implementation. You will utilize SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD to design practical, manufacturable solutions that optimize materials and meet exact packaging and performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret customer design briefs and performance criteria to develop product concepts and detailed technical drawings using SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD.
• Create and refine designs with a focus on manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and adherence to customer specifications and budgets.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), cost estimates, and design documentation for prototype development and production handover.
• Collaborate closely with production, quality, and customer teams to test prototypes, resolve design challenges, and implement design adjustments as needed.
• Travel to customer facilities as required to evaluate production feasibility and present design proposals or review product performance.
Skill Requirement
The ideal candidate is a technically skilled and creative problem-solver with hands-on design experience, proficiency in CAD software, and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. You must be customer-focused, adaptable to feedback, and able to manage multiple projects in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Education: BE Mechanical or Diploma in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience with SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD. 3+ years of product design experience is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, and CorelDRAW. Experience in creating detailed technical drawings, BOMs, and design specifications.
• Soft Skills: Excellent visual/spatial awareness, communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel as required for customer meetings and production evaluations.
