Primary Responsibilities
- Escalated Support: Efficiently handle complex, multi-tiered escalated engineering support cases from enterprise clients and certified dealers.
- Project Staging: Replicate complex system errors by staging dealer projects and proprietary software programs locally to isolate hardware and code bugs.
- Design Review: Audit client engineering designs and system programming structures to ensure absolute compliance with global deployment best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Gather diagnostic logs and deep network packet captures while coordinating closely with sustaining engineers and product managers.
Eligibility Criteria
To be seriously considered for this specialized engineering role, candidates must meet rigorous operational standards. A high school diploma or equivalent General Education Degree (GED) is strictly required for application processing. However, a formalized Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Science (CS) remains highly preferred to handle the heavy architectural demands of the engineering infrastructure.
Beyond core educational backgrounds, candidates require a solid foundation of 6 to 8 years working directly within the professional Audiovisual (AV) industry, combined with at least 5 years of dedicated customer-facing technical support experience. Proven expertise spanning 3 to 5 years utilizing Crestron’s core proprietary software suitesโincluding SIMPL Windows, SIMPL+, SIMPL#, and D3Proโis essential. You must also maintain active certifications as a Crestron Certified Programmer alongside valid DMC-E and DMC-N industry credentials.
