Job Overview:

• Role: Medical Billing Specialist
• Company: Handi Medical Supply Inc
• Location: Saint Paul, MN (On-Site)
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (8:30 am – 5 pm)
• Compensation: $23 – $26 per hour

Primary Responsibilities:

• Submit accurate, timely initial claims to payers.
• Research and resolve denied or unpaid claims to prevent bad debt.
• Prepare appeals within payer filing limits.
• Identify and analyze denial trends to recommend system improvements.
• Maintain precise documentation of all account activity and billing updates.

Eligibility Criteria: Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of proven experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or collections.
• Solid knowledge of payer guidelines, denial management, and the appeals process.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and billing software systems.

Eligibility Criteria: Preferred

• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payers.
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding.
• Previous experience in DME (Durable Medical Equipment) or healthcare revenue cycle operations.
• A track record of identifying trends and contributing to process improvements.
