Primary Responsibilities

  • Referral & Community Outreach: Execute 20 documented outreach contacts monthly with local physicians, schools, churches, and community organizations, including at least 4 in-person local visits.
  • Social Media & Content Creation: Publish a minimum of 3 engaging social media posts weekly and manage a rolling 30-day content calendar.
  • Blogging & SEO Management: Write and publish 4 SEO-optimized blog posts per month and conduct ongoing website SEO audits.
  • Asset Creation: Design at least 4 monthly marketing assets such as flyers, referral one-pagers, and service brochures using Canva.
  • Email Marketing: Launch 2 targeted, CAN-SPAM compliant email campaigns monthly to streamline provider and community networks.

Eligibility Criteria

To be successful in this independent contractor role, candidates must demonstrate proven experience providing marketing services as an independent consultant, specifically within community outreach or referral-based frameworks. Exceptional written communication skills are mandatory for drafting blogs, professional emails, and outreach documentation.

Proficiency with digital marketing tools like Canva, Google Workspace, and mainstream email marketing platforms is required. Because this is a deliverable-based contract, you must possess strong organizational skills, meticulous tracking habits, and the ability to work independently without daily supervision.

While not strictly required, preferred candidates will bring experience in healthcare or mental health marketing, along with familiarity with HIPAA-aware marketing practices. Background knowledge working with Medicaid-serving organizations and deep local familiarity with the Chicagoland or South Suburbs area will make your application stand out.
