Primary Responsibilities
- Executive accurate third-party payer billing and continuous account follow-up processes.
- Adhere strictly to institutional and federal guidelines established for UB04 and HCFA 1500 billing layouts.
- Accurately identify primary and secondary insurance payers to eliminate claim processing delays.
- Proactively resolve denied or unpaid claims to secure proper account resolution.
- Manage self-pay balances and communicate transparently with patients regarding outstanding accounts.
Eligibility Criteria
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the foundational educational standards and possess a background tailored to medical financial systems. A High School graduation diploma or equivalent is required to clear initial application filters.
Preference is given to applicants who have previous experience working directly within healthcare billing and collection systems, ideally within a hospital infrastructure. A functional knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding frameworks is highly helpful and will significantly accelerate your onboarding phase.
