Job Overview

  • Position Title: IT Support Technician (Tier 1)

  • Base Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 a year
  • Employment Type: Full-time (Includes on-call rotation)
  • Location: 100% Remote (Must reside within a 1-to-2-hour drive of Plymouth, NH for occasional client site visits)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide robust desktop and laptop support to client end-users, managing operating system images and coordinating hardware shipments.
  • Efficiently resolve client support requests, including password resets, application issues, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Execute basic networking setup and technical diagnostics across varied environments.
  • Understand, respect, and strictly adhere to Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) data requirements.
  • Maintain meticulous daily time-tracking entries for all service and non-service tasks.

Eligibility Criteria

To excel in this Tier 1 support position, candidates must meet specific foundational experience standards. We require two (2) to four (4) years of IT-related experience working directly with client management or helpdesk systems. Due to the strict compliance metrics of our U.S. Government contracts and CMMC requirements, U.S. Citizenship is strictly required to be considered for this position. Applicants must also successfully pass a comprehensive background check.

Candidates must possess hands-on familiarity with core technical ecosystems. You should have direct experience supporting Windows 11, Windows Server 2016-2022, Active Directory, Office 365, and Azure Active Directory. Experience managing Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) platforms, firewalls, routers, wireless networks, and printers will make your application stand out. An Associate or Bachelorโ€™s degree in a relevant tech field is highly preferred.


Work Environment & Team Culture

This position operates within Sawdeyโ€™s Managed Services Division, a comprehensive MSP/MSSP supporting defense contractors, municipalities, non-profits, and commercial corporations. You will work from the comfort of your home with occasional travel (up to 25%) to client sites around Plymouth, NH. Successful team members are self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of articulating complex technical information to non-technical users beautifully.
