Primary Responsibilities
- Architect software for ground-based optical communication terminals (embedded control, networking, cloud)
- Design remote management and monitoring for distributed ground terminal deployments
- Build cloud operations platforms for fleet management, telemetry, alarming, and performance monitoring
- Develop fault-tolerant, highly available systems for remote environments
- Collaborate with optical, electrical, firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering teams
- Own full lifecycle delivery from requirements through deployment and operations
Eligibility Criteria
Required: 5+ years professional software development; 5+ years in at least one programming language; 5+ years leading design/architecture of new and existing systems; experience as mentor/tech lead; networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, etc.); C/C++/Python/Rust; Linux systems programming; AWS cloud services experience.
Export control (mandatory): U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card), or lawfully admitted refugee/asylum status.
Preferred: Full SDLC experience; embedded C/C++; infrastructure automation; Kafka; Kubernetes/Docker; optical/RF or mission-critical telecom/aerospace background.
