Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-fidelity real-time simulation software for vehicles like Falcon, Dragon, Starlink, and Starship.
- Program core simulation infrastructure and collaborate on models for fluids, electronics, and multi-body physics systems.
- Improve the reliability and performance of simulation environments while working across various engineering groups.
- Develop prototypes to prove design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
Eligibility Criteria: Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a STEM discipline (or 2+ years of professional experience in lieu of a degree).
- At least 1 year of development experience in C++.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, a U.S. lawful permanent resident, or an eligible asylee/refugee to comply with ITAR regulations.
Eligibility Criteria: Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of distributed computing systems, networking protocols, and CPU scheduling.
- Thorough knowledge of classical physics and mathematics (algebra, calculus, geometry).
- Experience with open-source C++ simulators such as ROS2 and Gazebo.
- Proven ability in debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing.
