Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five (5) or more hours per day every scheduled school day.
- Utilize student performance data to personalize virtual coursework and close distinct learning gaps.
- Provide regular, meaningful feedback on student submissions while maintaining precise academic records.
- Build authentic relationships with families and partner school districts through proactive, professional communication.
Eligibility Criteria
To excel in this role, candidates must meet clear professional benchmarks. You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or an aligned academic field. Most importantly, you are required to hold an active state teaching license in Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, Michigan, and/or Virginia specifically for English/Language Arts covering grades 6–12.
Beyond core credentials, practical experience navigating online classrooms is essential. Candidates should be highly confident when teaching on camera for extended periods and fully comfortable with virtual learning management systems. Strong time management, structural planning skills, and a data-informed approach to adjusting daily live instruction are mandatory traits for success.
