Primary Responsibilities
- Live Synchronous Instruction: Deliver engaging, structured, and live on-camera math instruction for five or more hours per day, every scheduled instructional day.
- Data-Informed Personalization: Analyze student performance metrics to identify learning gaps, adapt teaching methodologies, and customize support to meet individual student needs.
- Feedback and Documentation: Provide timely, constructive, and meaningful feedback on student assignments while maintaining highly accurate academic records.
- Relationship Building: Foster trust and collaborative accountability by establishing strong, professional, and proactive communication channels with students and their families.
- Professional Collaboration: Partner closely with school representatives and internal Edmentum colleagues to ensure a holistic, high-quality educational experience.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this vital educational role, candidates must possess a baseline of foundational qualifications. A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field is strictly required. Additionally, you must hold an active state teaching license in Oregon, California, Virginia, and/or Colorado accompanied by a formal endorsement in Mathematics for grades 6โ12. Prior hands-on experience teaching in either virtual or traditional in-person classrooms is necessary to successfully navigate the unique demands of an online environment.
Technical literacy and professional communication skills are central to daily operations. Applicants must demonstrate complete confidence and an energetic presence on camera, alongside proven proficiency with online learning platforms, virtual instruction software, and standard productivity tools.
