Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse patient caseload entirely via a secure telehealth platform.
- Conduct thorough initial nutrition evaluations and develop highly individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Monitor patient clinical progress over time and dynamically adjust medical nutrition therapy plans accordingly.
- Provide clear nutritional guidance, structured meal planning, and expert interpretation of relevant lab work.
- Coordinate care collaboratively with patients’ primary healthcare teams to ensure seamless continuity of treatment.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this competitive remote position, candidates must possess a formal academic background in nutritional sciences. This includes a minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited university. Complete mastery of advanced clinical nutrition principles and an ability to translate complex biochemistry into practical, daily lifestyle modifications for diverse populations is essential.
Furthermore, active professional validation is strictly required. Candidates must maintain an active Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Professional state licensure in at least one of the following states is highly preferred: TX, NY, DC, MD, FL, OH, TN, or GA, while possessing multi-state licensure is considered a major competitive advantage.
Finally, practical scheduling flexibility and specific clinical exposure will set top-tier applicants apart. You must have a minimum availability of 3 hours per week designated for evenings or weekends to accommodate patient needs. Preferred experience includes a proven track record in outpatient nutrition counseling, general clinical nutrition, pediatrics, weight management, or treating disordered eating patterns.
