Primary Responsibilities:
- Patient Intake: Cordially greet patients, verify demographic and insurance information, and obtain necessary legal/billing signatures while complying with EMTALA and HIPAA regulations.
- Communication: Act as a critical liaison between patients, visitors, and clinical staff, providing updates and directing inquiries appropriately.
- Triage Support: Acknowledge potential life-threatening conditions and immediately alert clinical staff for priority care.
- Administrative Excellence: Handle phone inquiries, maintain accurate digital records, and assist with patient transfers as needed.
Eligibility Criteria:
To thrive in this role, you must be a high school graduate (or equivalent) with strong interpersonal skills. While prior clerical experience is highly valued, we welcome applicants with at least two years of general office or reception background. You must possess proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office/Outlook) and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
We prioritize candidates who are dedicated to patient confidentiality and professional growth. While not required immediately, you must be able to obtain BLS certification within six months of hire.
