Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage procedural authorization requests to ensure patient safety and team awareness.
- Verify patient registration, demographic data, and current insurance information.
- Communicate with insurance companies and review organizations to secure timely approvals.
- Present clinical documentationโincluding history, diagnosis, and prognosisโto payers.
- Assist patients in overcoming barriers to care, such as transportation or financial concerns.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have prior experience working in a medical clinic environment. You should be detail-oriented, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Exceptional attendance and a teamwork-focused mindset are essential for this role.
Applicants are required to have a High School diploma or GED and must be able to type greater than 50 words per minute. You should be comfortable with administrative tasks, grammar, and spelling, and be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Experience with insurance verification is preferred. Familiarity with Mac computers is considered a significant asset, and while the schedule is standard M-F, the right candidate will have the flexibility to adjust their hours when occasional circumstances arise.
