Job Overview:
- Role: Medical Billing Accounts Receivable Specialist
- Location: 120 Yarmouth Road, Hyannis, MA 02601
- Schedule: Full-time, On-Site
- Compensation: $25 – $35 per hour
- Focus: Revenue cycle management and claims resolution
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review and process medical claims utilizing CPT, ICD-10, and current coding standards.
- Conduct proactive medical collections by contacting insurance companies and patients to resolve delayed accounts.
- Verify medical records for documentation accuracy prior to claim submission.
- Manage data entry and status tracking within our EMR/EHR systems.
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies, insurance denials, and coding errors.
Eligibility Criteria (Required):
- Proven experience in medical billing and accounts receivable within a healthcare setting.
- Strong proficiency in medical coding (CPT, ICD-10) and medical terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain comprehensive audit documentation.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and collection processes.
Eligibility Criteria (Preferred):
- Experience with Athena Collector software is highly valued.
- Knowledge of specific healthcare compliance standards related to billing practices.
- Demonstrated ability to function efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment.
