In this role, you will be responsible for the full development life cycle of high-performance runtime libraries and drivers for AWS Inferentia and Trainium accelerators. Your contributions will directly impact how internal and external customers optimize massive-scale machine learning workloads. You will drive innovation in performance profiling, ensuring that our C++ compilers and ML frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, and XLA operate at peak efficiency.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy Neuron Runtime components.
  • Optimize ML Kernels and framework performance.
  • Create deep insights into system behavior and performance bottlenecks.
  • Own services end-to-end, from deployment and monitoring to on-call and incident review.
  • Collaborate with senior management to define product direction.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify, candidates must have at least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience. You should also possess 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, specifically focusing on reliability, scaling, and design patterns. Proficiency in at least one programming language is essential for success in this role.

For preferred candidates, a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science or a related field is desired. Additionally, we value those with a complete grasp of the software development life cycle, including coding standards, rigorous code reviews, and operational excellence in production environments. Hands-on experience with AWS services like EC2, ECS, or Lambda will set your application apart.
